2021 Bugalugs by Tim Smith Shiraz (Red Wine)
Mostly Barossa Valley floor vineyards using old oak. When you’re off to a
party, you’ll be considered a legend for bringing something that flies under the
radar but over delivers. Equally, when you need a big glass of flavour, and it’s
the week before pay day.” – Tim Smith
A quintessential Barossa Shiraz — bold yet approachable, with layers of dark fruit, spice, and subtle oak. Consistently rated 90–94 points, it’s a versatile red for chargrilled meats, slow-cooked beef, and mature cheeses.

VINTAGE CONDITIONS
With relatively good rainfall in Autumn, and again towards the end of Spring,
soil moisture was generally at good levels going into Summer. This, along with
reasonably cool summer temperatures, meant the vines were healthy; a good
number of bunches set, and berry size remained at optimum levels for high
quality wine grape production.
Quality is exceptional across the varieties and styles from 2021. Reds have
intense, rich, and balanced flavours and colours; whites have lovely aromatics,
finesse, and great natural acidity. A vintage for now and the long term.
